Pathfinding was an outdoor activity involving hiking and traveling through rough terrain. Practitioners were called pathfinders, and it was most popular with humanoid species. Skilled pathfinders could navigate across any terrain without any tools and not get lost. It was practiced on many planets, including Chandrila, Alderaan, and Eriadu.[1]
Equipment in pathfinding included field generators and rope.[1]
