"Pearls in the Sand" is a short story written by Voronica Whitney-Robinson for Star Wars Insider 74. It takes place shortly before the events of Star Wars Galaxies: The Ruins of Dantooine,[2] presumably in 1 ABY.
Plot summary[]
Dusque and Tendau follow rumors of a fabled krayt dragon graveyard into the wilderness of Tatooine and are nearly done in by Zabrak robbers. Left to die in the desert, the two scientists persevere and discover the krayt spawning ground – a place where the beasts die after laying their eggs. Dusque takes a krayt dragon egg for future study.
