Peet Janes was an editor at Dark Horse Comics and the main editor of Dark Horse's Star Wars line from the mid-'90s to 2001.

Janes was in charge of numerous titles as the Dark Horse line expanded and flourished, such as X-Wing: Rogue Squadron, Star Wars Droids, Classic Star Wars, Classic Star Wars: The Early Adventures, Mara Jade: By the Emperor's Hand, Boba Fett: Enemy of the Empire, Star Wars: Vader's Quest, The Jabba Tape, Shadow Stalker, The Bounty Hunters: Aurra Sing, The Bounty Hunters: Kenix Kil, Boba Fett: Twin Engines of Destruction, Star Wars: Union, Star Wars: Chewbacca, and Star Wars: Republic. He was also the first editor of the Star Wars Tales anthology series, as well as the writer of Dark Horse's Star Wars Handbooks, a series of encyclopedic guides to the existing Dark Horse Star Wars titles.
