The Pelta-class strike frigate was the most common combat variant of the Pelta-class frigate, which was manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards unarmed until they were fitted with weapons systems upon receipt by the Republic Navy. The Pelta-class strike frigate was active during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. It was armed with light turbolasers, point-defense laser cannons, and tractor beams.[1]
