Peregrine (Strike-class)

The Peregrine was a Strike-class cruiser in the Rebel Alliance fleet sent to the Airam Sector. After an Interdictor cruiser was captured from Imperial Admiral Senn, the Imperials made a concerted effort to recapture or destroy the ship and deny its gravity well projector to the Rebels. The Peregrine was chosen for modification in an effort to trick Senn into thinking he had achieved his goal. With the assistance of the local Airam pirate clans, it was fitted with two large, bulbous housings for the gravity well projectors. The projectors were tranferred to the Peregrine, and the captured Interdictor was destroyed in full view of Senn's task force.

After this conversion was completed, the Peregrine was designated by the Rebels as a "Modified Strike Cruiser".
