- «I'm convinced the Lioaoin government is connected to the pirates that have hit our shipping off Schesa and Pesfavri over the past few months.»
- ―Junior Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo
Pesfavri was a planet located in the Unknown Regions' Chiss Ascendancy. Months before[1] 36 BBY,[2] pirates state-sanctioned by the Lioaoin Regime attacked several shipping freighters traveling from Pesfavri. Months later, Ascendancy Junior Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo, core name "Thrawn," was certain of the pirates' affiliation with the Regime, which he later proved during a skirmish in the Kinoss system.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
In the current Star Wars canon, Pesfavri was mentioned in a flashback sequence in the 2020 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, the first volume of Timothy Zahn's The Ascendancy Trilogy.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet[3] Pesfavri was first mentioned in Zahn's 2006 novel Outbound Flight.[4]
