Pharples were small, flightless birds with long beaks native to the desert world of Lok. These cowardly insectivores caused little trouble to sentient beings.[2] Breeds of pharple included giant pharples and runty pharples.[1]
During the Galactic Civil War, the Sulfur Lake Pirates tamed a giant pharple that they named Nym's Girlfriend as a means by which to humiliate their enemy Nym. The creature was later killed in the Sulfur Lake Pirate Hideout by a spacer working for Grenz Zittoun of the Lok Revenants.[3]
