An orbital bioresearch facility circled[1] the jungle planet[4] Phaseera[1] in the Phaseera system, which constituted a part of the Lantillian sector in the Slice portion of the Mid Rim.[2] An exceedingly rare implant was located aboard the orbital facility.[1]
Around 3643 BBY,[3] a malfunction aboard the bioresearch facility caused it to crash on Phaseera's surface, at which point the station was destroyed. Subsequently, an individual affiliated with one of the sides in the ongoing struggle between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire obtained reports on the facility's crash-landing. The individual then dispatched a companion to recover any specimens from the wreckage of the station, from which the companion salvaged the implant.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The orbital bioresearch facility was mentioned in a Bionanalysis Crew Skill mission of Star Wars: The Old Republic, a 2011 video game developed by BioWare, though the information regarding the mission's outcome was later removed from the game.[1] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Phaseera system, and therefore the orbital bioresearch facility, in grid square P-8.[2]

Since players of The Old Republic can assign their companions on the mission "Tainted Research" independently of the main class storyline at any point during the game, the mission, which occurs in the aftermath of the orbital bioresearch facility's destruction, must take place at some point around 3643 BBY.
