The Phelope system was located in the Gateworlds, an area of the Hapes Cluster in the Slice portion of the Inner Rim. It was connected via hyperlanes to the Gateworlds' Zadaria system and the Ediorung system in the Interior Region.[1] The Phelope system was the origin point of the beverage known as A Walk in the Phelopean Forest.[2][3]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The Phelope system was introduced in The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference book authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square O-9.[1]

The Essential Atlas and Galactic Cartography: Official Discussion on the Jedi Council Forums (Literature board; posted by jasonfry on December 11, 2007, 7:59am; accessed March 6, 2016) (backup link) ([[::File:JasonFry-JCFAtlasHomeworlds.png|screenshot]]) "I wouldn't get your hopes up re alien homeworlds, beyond simple stuff like the Planetnamian species getting a Planetnamia on the map or things Dan and I can account for with a relatively quick reference." Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for A Walk in the Phelopean Forest in relation to the Phelope system.
