Philosophers were individuals who developed systems of ideas about reality. Most beings in the galaxy assumed that all Ithorians were peaceful gardeners who engaged in contemplative philosophy.[2] Sio Bibble, the Governor of Naboo under Queen Amidala, was a philosopher.[3] Braata Danlos, Faya Rodemos, Sistros Nevet, and Yanjon Zelmar were the four ancient Four Sages of Dwartii, controversial philosophers-lawgivers from the early days of the Galactic Republic.[4] According to Grand Admiral Thrawn of the Imperial Navy, it was important to understand an enemy's philosophy to defeat them.[5]
