Phoenix Home, or Phoenix Base,[5] was a repurposed Pelta-class frigate[1] under the command of Commander Jun Sato in the years prior to the Battle of Yavin. The vessel, the headquarters of Phoenix Cell, participated in a number of battles with the rebel fleet that it led until it was destroyed by Darth Vader in his TIE Advanced x1 during an attack on the fleet[4] in 4 BBY.[6] Following the destruction of Phoenix Home, Sato transferred his command to the CR90 corvette Liberator.[7] The loss of Phoenix Home was a severe blow to the Rebels, severely limiting their ability to fight the Empire.[8]
At some point during the Galactic Civil War, the Alliance to Restore the Republic had a Pelta-class frigate that they modified to the specifications of the Phoenix Home.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Phoenix Home first appeared in the one-hour TV movie Star Wars Rebels: The Siege of Lothal.[4] It also had a Star Wars: Armada expansions pack, the Phoenix Home Expansion Pack.[9]
