A dart pike was a type of polearm weapon employed in the culture of the Nightsisters and Nightbrothers of Dathomir. Savage Opress was given a pike by Mother Talzin, drawn forth from spirit ichor, that was said to be enchanted with their most potent magic. Pikes were also used by Dolandu who lived in the mountains of Skalokor. One was used by Jedi Master Niquon to protect himself from a drethi attack.

A dart pike is a pike that has been combined with a dart-thrower and is balanced for use while riding a mount. The dart pike contains five darts in its shaft, and an additional dart in the center of its three prong-shaped blades, all of which can be fired from the weapon one at a time with a thumb-activated trigger located at the end of the shaft. When used in this way, the dart pike functions as slugthrower rifle.

Though it is a large weapon, it is balanced in such a way that a Medium creature trained in the Ride skill can wield it in one hand when mounted.^[2]
