Doctor Piodas Ray was a clinical biochemist who conducted operations as part of the science staff for the Galactic Empire's Quarantine Zone on the planet Dathomir during the time of the Galactic Civil War. Dr. Ray operated on level 2 of the research laboratory.

Piodas Ray was first mentioned in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.
