Pizzazz 1 is the first issue in the Marvel Comics popular culture monthly magazine. This issue was cover-dated October 1977 and featured the beginning of the serialized Star Wars comic The Keeper's World.
It also contained the article Meet the Star Wars Superstars! by Katy Hall, which was a behind-the-scenes look at how R2-D2 and C-3PO were designed and filmed for A New Hope.
Behind the scenes[]
In addition to The Keeper's World and Meet the Star Wars Superstars!, Pizzazz #1 also had a Star Wars cover featuring R2-D2 and C-3PO, where they satirically state that Darth Vader is arriving with a can opener, his ultimate weapon. It also included an advertisement and order form for Marvel Special Edition Featuring Star Wars 1 and Marvel Special Edition Featuring Star Wars 2.
