The plastent was a model of inflatable tent manufactured by Pretormin Environmental Corporation. It was two meters in size and triangular in shape, being able to fit four individuals inside of it. It could be set up in minutes and was available in multiple colors and patterns. The plastent was the standard issue tent of the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire. Rebel personnel would often mount SE-Vigilant automated sensors atop their plastents as automated sentries.[1]

The plastent was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Forged in Battle,[1] a 2016 sourcebook for the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game published by Fantasy Flight Games.[2] It originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in the fifty-fifth issue of the 1997 Marvel Star Wars series of comic books.[3]
