Plexgrove Combine was a financial and banking conglomerate that offered low- and mid-level services throughout the galaxy. The conglomerate had a reputation for making profitable investments and for helping business-beings and home owners with its tailored customer service beyond expectation. Plexgrove designed the banking and currency systems used by the Corporate Sector Authority and oversaw those financial services not undertaken by the Bank of the Core.[1]

Plexgrove Combine was one of numerous companies to provide the equivalent of fifty trillion credits in equipment, funds, and services to become one of the Corporate Sector Authority's original contributing sponsors, receiving nominal discounts on bulk goods and raw material and a proportional share of Corporate Sector profits.[1] By around 10 ABY,[2] the company was upgraded to be a voting sponsor, receiving increased profits, larger discounts, and unrestricted access to the employees of the Authority.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Plexgrove Combine was first mentioned in the 1993 roleplaying game sourcebook Han Solo and the Corporate Sector Sourcebook, written by Michael Allen Horne for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[1]

  2. Interviews with Leia Organa Solo in Han Solo and the Corporate Sector Sourcebook note a recent interaction between her and Salla Zend on Nar Shaddaa. That interaction occurs in Star Wars: Dark Empire, which also depicts Organa Solo subsequently and directly traveling to the planets Byss and Mon Calamari. The New Essential Chronology dates those events to 10 ABY, and as such, the interviews and information in the sourcebook presented as "current" must occur following the events on Mon Calamari and thus around that year.
