A podracer was someone who competed in podracing using a podracer.[1] Podracers had a tradition of drinking a cup of engine fuel just before a race, as they believed it brought them good luck.[3]
In his youth, prior to joining the Jedi Order, Anakin Skywalker was a noted podracer and the only human known to compete in podracing.[1]
