Police speeders on Coruscant

A police speeder, also called a police cruiser or police skimmer, was the name for an airspeeder utilized by a law enforcement agency to perform patrol duties.

The police force may have used various models of speeders for police functions. Some may have been marked, others were unmarked depending on the needs of the police officers who piloted them. Police speeders may have had a pilot and passenger compartment with possibility for transporting prisoners or may have been in the form of a speeder bike allowing for only one officer.

The Coruscant Security Force utilized a variety of police speeders to patrol the planet Coruscant. In the waning years of the Galactic Republic, they notably utilized the Coruscant police speeder and the RapidResponse police speeder.
