Poltur Virus was a flesh-eating virus carried by the urnsor'is of Kashyyyk for which there was no known cure. The urnsor'is used venom sacs to inject the virus into their victims.
The Wookiees of the Myyydril tribe that fought against the advancing urnsor'is in the Myyydril Caverns often died from the virus or had to cut off the infected limbs and replace them with cybernetics. Kivvaaa lost her arm when she was infected by the virus.

The Poltur Virus appeared in the video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.
