Poma-clubs were facilities that hosted deprivation chambers, devices that utilized throbbing pulse-music and bubbling poma liquid to relax an individual's muscles and cause hallucinations.[1] By 5 ABY,[2] a poma-club operated in Quarrow, the capital city of the planet Nakadia.[1] That year,[2] several New Republic operatives visited Quarrow and thought about how the world's poma-club and the planet's social climate might impact their upcoming mission to investigate several New Republic senators. Shortly after, New Republic Senator Rethalow visited the poma-club and used a deprivation chamber. While in the chamber, the New Republic operative Jom Barell tracked him there.[1]
