The Power 5 blaster was a model of blaster pistol manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc. and used by the Imperial Military,[1] such as with hangar gantry officer on the first Death Star. It was created to compete with BlasTech Industries's DL-44 heavy blaster pistol. It succeeded on the market and became known as a legal, low-power alternative to the DL-44.[3] Dedra Meero of the Imperial Security Bureau used a Power 5 blaster during the Uprising on Ferrix.[2]
