A prefect was a governmental title.
The Galactic Empire used Imperial Prefects to rule certain planets such as Kallistas, where the prefect Dengless Rinn was a subordinate to Governor Linrec.[1]
The head of the Imperial Knights Training Facility was given the title Prefect.[2]
