Premium Citizenship was a class of citizenship that could be accorded to residents of the planet Aargau during the last years of the Galactic Republic. Premium Citizenship was awarded only to Aargau citizens who held sufficient liquid assets. Among the rights that Premium Citizenship conveyed was entitlement to use combat automata on Aargau, as an extension of the constitutional right of Aargau citizens under the Aargau Charter to bear arms.[1]
During the Clone Wars, Lo Vapeet of the Inter-Galactic Banking Clan argued that IG-227 Hailfire-class droid tanks produced by the IBC on Aargau were the lawful property of IBC executives based on the world, due to the Premium Citizenship status that the executives held.[1]
