- «Up to now we've always traveled the city in vehicles, where the hoods are unnecessary. But during those trips I observed that most pedestrians used their hoods nearly all the time, protecting against rain but also against sunlight.»
- ―Thrawn, to Thalias
A sun was located in the Unknown Regions' Primea system,[1] which was situated in grid square F-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[2] It was orbited by the planet Primea, the homeworld of the Vak species, who wore hoods to protect their skin from both sunlight and rain.[1] In 19 BBY,[3] the Chiss Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo, core name "Thrawn," and the Caregiver Mitth'ali'astov ("Thalias") traveled to Primea and wore hoods to hide their blue skin, as they meant to travel undetected. As they traveled to Primea's spaceport, the senior captain explained to his companion the reason the Vak people wore hoods.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Primea's sun appeared in the 2020 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, the final installment of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy.[1]
