The Priole Danna system was a star system located within the Sprizen sector, a part of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and New Territories galactic regions.[2] The system was the origin point of the Priole Danna Festival,[3] a celebration of music, parades and dramatic reenactments that was held annually on the[4] Colonies[5] planet Lamuir IV.[4]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Priole Danna system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace, which placed the system in grid square O-5.[6]

  2. 2.0 2.1 The Essential Atlas places the Priole Danna system in grid square O-5. It also depicts territory falling in that grid square as being located in either the New Territories region of the galaxy (spinward from the Hydian Way super-hyperroute) or the Trans-Hydian region (trailing from the Hydian Way). Since SWCustom-2011 Star Wars: The Essential Atlas Online Companion on (article) (backup link) places the system within the Sprizen sector, which is located spinward from the Hydian Way, according to SWCustom-2011 The Essential Atlas Extra: Outer Rim Sectors on (backup link), it therefore must also be part of the New Territories.

Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Priole Danna Festival in relation to the Priole Danna system.
