A proton warhead was an explosive[2] device usually found integrated within the tips of proton torpedos, such as the MG7 proton torpedo along with the subsequent MG7-A proton torpedo, utilised by the Alliance to Restore the Republic's and Resistance's starfighters, respectively. Such a device was also installed in an E-XD-series infiltrator droid, as part of its internal self-destruct mechanism.[1]
