"Puzzle Peace" is a comic that was first published in Star Wars Tales 13 and was collected in Star Wars Tales Volume 4.

Plot summary[]

On Coruscant, Mace Windu explains to Yoda how his talks with the Er'stacians went...

Windu arrived on Er'stacia to find a war in progress between rival clans. After negotiating a cease-fire with the help of his force abilities, Windu discovered the clans are fighting over ownership of a large statue known as the Venerable One. A warrior accidentally shot at Windu with his blaster, desecrating the statue, and he was torn apart by his fellow Er'Stacians.

Seeing that he cannot end the conflict by negotiation, Windu carved up the statue into a thousand pieces, leaving the Er'Stacians with something other than war to consider.
