During the Clone Wars, the Pykes became the galaxy's preeminent dealers in the illicit spice trade when they took control of mining operations on Kessel. Based on Oba Diah, the Pyke Syndicate relies on their units of foot soldiers to enforce their control and protect their interests on Kessel and beyond. While the foot soldiers guard the Pykes' operations, the Capos are entrusted with ensuring Pykes' business interests remain operating at peak efficiency no matter the means required to do so.
