Pyke sentinels,[1] also known as Kessel Guards,[5] were guards hired by the Pyke Syndicate to protect their operations on the planet Kessel.[1] They were brutal enforcers, armed with A-300 blaster rifles and using electrostaves to prod and torture slaves owned by the Syndicate to mine spice.
Many of these guards opposed Han Solo's team during the raid on Kessel, and were subsequently killed by them and the slave uprising that they prompted to cover their theft of the Syndicate's stash of unrefined coaxium.
