Quadex was a manufacturing company that produced starship components. The company made a name for itself by producing high-output power cores for the Galactic Empire's starships. The Millennium Falcon had a Quadex energy core, and the B-wing starfighter was powered by a Quadex Kyromaster.
Behind the scenes[]
Quadex was misspelled "Qualdex" in the video game Star Wars Galaxies and in its strategy guides. This typographical error also appeared in the entry for Star Wars Galaxies's Halcyon booster in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
