Quenk jazz was a type of music of the jazz variety. The journalist Dyslogia Twang once described Mrp-Mrp Poo as being "the Lothario Smerg of the Quenk jazz scene" in his article "Sightings by Twang," a summary of his experience at Poo's annual Vector Day party.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Quenk jazz was mentioned in a segment called "Sightings by Twang" in Bob Carrau's Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas, a book published in 1993.[1] Lucasfilm employee Leland Chee, who maintains the Holocron continuity database, has indicated that information contained in the book is non-canonical[2] with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity.[3] However, the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas and its StarWars.com Online Companion built upon the mention of Quenk jazz by introducing the Quenk system, which was situated in the Corusca sector in the part of the Core Worlds.[4][5]
