R1-J1 was an R1-series astromech droid[3] with green plating and a yellow trim.[2] It stood 1.94 meters tall and, like all R-series astromech droids, was manufactured by Industrial Automaton.[1] During the occupation of the planet Batuu by the First Order[2] in 34 ABY,[4] R1-J1 belonged to the Droid Depot in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu. The droid was stood behind railings on a plinth outside the front of the depot alongside fellow droids[2] B-R72, EG-01, L4-R6,[3] and C2-B9.[5]
Behind the scenes[]
R1-J1 appeared as a prop within the themed land Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge,[2] which opened to guests at Disneyland Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2019.[6]
