R6 astromech droids[2] also known as the R6-series[6] were a series of astromech droids.[2] Much like the R5 series,[7] the R6's head was shaped like a conical frustum, but its eye piece more closely resembled[8] that of the R2 series.[9]
During the competitive sporting show Hunters of the Outer Rim[10] in 9 ABY,[11] the R6 series was used in the combat game Power Control.[10]
The R6 series was used by the Resistance in starfighters such as the T-70 X-wing.[2]
