The RK-392, simply known as the Mobile Tac-Pod was a model of troop transport and landing craft utilized by the Preox-Morlana's Corporate Tactical Forces, the Pre-Mor Enforcement, for the deployment of corpos to planetary surfaces. In 5 BBY, a Pre-Mor Security Inspection team led by Deputy Inspector Syril Karn and Sergeant Linus Mosk utilized three Tac-Pods to make planetfall on a settlement on Ferrix to arrest Cassian Jeron Andor.
Characteristics[]

The cockpit of the Tac-Pod seated a single pilot and was padded to prevent injuries during atmospheric re-entry
The mobile Tac-Pod was a troop transport and landing craft used by the Pre-Mor Enforcement to deploy sentry guards from BTY-180 carriers to planetary surfaces and to provide air-to-ground support to its units. It was operated by a single pilot seated in an elevated and padded cockpit in the front of the craft and had space for at least six standing officers in a troop compartment in the back. The crew could enter and exit the Pod through an entry ramp, above which was a notice reading "CAUTION" in Aurebesh.[3]
The Tac-Pods were armed with a single laser cannon placed in a ball mount on the chin, a single barrel turret between the two engine units on its roof, as well as a fixed cannon located on each of the wing root - just outside of the engine cowling. When in landing configuration, its wings would fold up towards these engines to provide space for the crew to disembark. Although powerful enough to perform atmospheric flights, the engines were not Hyperdrive-capable and the Tac-Pod had to dock on Preox-Morlana interstellar vessels to travel from planet to planet.[3] It had a reinforced hull and reinforced transparisteel viewport for protection against small arms fire.[4]

History[]
In 5 BBY,[5] after arriving to Free Trade sector planet Ferrix aboard a personnel carrier, a twelve-man Pre-Mor Security Inspection Team led by Deputy Inspector Syril Karn and Sergeant Linus Mosk utilized three Tac-Pods to descend to their landing zones on a settlement believed to house wanted fugitive Cassian Jeron Andor. In a subsequent skirmish, North Team's Tac-Pod was destroyed as a local had tied it to a large piece of wreckage, causing it to stall and crash.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
The mobile tac-pod was first pictured in the teaser trailer for Andor Season One.[6] It was first identified four days later in the Summer of LEGO Star Wars panel in the 2022 Celebration Anaheim on May 28, 2022.[2] The tac-pod's first on-screen appearance was in the third episode of Andor Season One, Reckoning.[3]
