The New Republic raided on Yuuzhan Vong-occupied Gyndine in 28 ABY. The goal was to train new recruits in combat that the New Republic was sure to win, in preparation for a decisive major battle later on. The Yuuzhan Vong force was larger than Admiral Traest Kre'fey wanted to attack, but he still managed to completely destroy the enemy force.
