- "Less than two standard hours after this morning's secession of Ando and Sy Myrth was made official, jubilant anti-Republic protestors filled the streets of Quantill City's busy Raquish Thoroughfare, celebrating the separation."
- ―HoloNet News report
The Raquish Thoroughfare was a busy roadway featuring several streets in Quantill City,[1] the largest city[2] and capital of Ando,[3] the Mid Rim homeworld of the sentient Aqualish species.[4] It shared its name with the Raquish system[5] and the Battle of Raquish, which was fought in 39 BBY and pitted the Spiverelda, the group of worlds colonized by the Aqualish and being under the influence of Ando, against[6] the fifteen Aqualish-settled planets known as the Andoan Free Colonies.[7]
In 13:2:28, less than two standard hours after Ando officially seceded from the Galactic Republic, the streets of the Raquish Thoroughfare were filled with jubilant Aqualish of various backgrounds and from different areas of their homeworld who protested against the galactic government. The protesters subsequently converged in the city square of Quantill City. The event was later noted by an issue of the CoCo District Edition of the HoloNet News.[1]
