- "You are to eliminate one Fidaval. I don't know where he is, but I know who does. If you apply a little pressure, his brother Ratheb will tell you all you need."
- ―Boba Fett, to a spacer
Ratheb was a male Devaronian who lived during the Galactic Civil War. He was the brother of Fidaval, and was married.
Biography[]
- "Okay! I will tell you, just please leave us alone! He is hiding in the Atrium. Do you have to kill him?"
- ―Ratheb, to a spacer
After the Battle of Yavin, Ratheb and his brother Fidaval resided on board Tansarii Point Station, in the Bright Jewel system. During that time, Fidaval was a wanted man and even had a death mark on his head.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] the bounty hunter Boba Fett localized the two brothers to Tansarii Point Station. Meanwhile, Boba Fett was also training a spacer who wished to become a bounty hunter and realized that hunting Fidaval could be a good exercise. Fett therefore tasked the spacer to interrogate Ratheb about his brother. The former was indeed not willing to share any information about Fidaval but the spacer eventually forced him to reveal the location of his brother. The spacer then confronted Fidaval in the atrium of the station and finally killed the wanted Devaronian.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Ratheb appeared as a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] Ratheb was added to the game as part of the "New Player Tutorial",[1] introduced with the release of the "Publish 25", a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[4]

Star Wars Galaxies (post-NGE) — Bounty Hunter Quest: "Bounty Hunter" on Tansarii Point Station
- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
