Raveen was a commander in the Imperial Navy and then the splinter government fleet of rogue Grand Admiral Demetrius Zaarin. Following the destruction of ZA-13, he was commanded by the Grand Admiral to take their forces to the Outer Rim Territories for further strikes on the industrial facilities of the Galactic Empire.

Raveen first appeared in the Star Wars: TIE Fighter: Defender of the Empire expansion set of the Star Wars: TIE Fighter, released in 1994.[2] Raveen's appearance in TIE Fighter is actually an edited image of Don Henderson as Cassio Tagge from Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.[3]
