Rawkas, commonly known as rushers by locals, were bipedal avian creatures indigenous to the Outer Rim planet of Koboh. They were commonly known to rush their enemies and butt them with their over-sized head—hence the nickname rushers. During the High Republic Era, Republic scientists researching the mysterious Koboh matter, noticed that Rawka seemed to have a natural immunity the substance, leading them to hypothesize that their feathers may be somewhat magnetized.[1]
Although fairly dim-witted, Rawka were territorial and fiercely protective. This was especially true for defense of their nests. For example, a variant of Rawka living in the Basalt Forest near Rambler's Reach Valley had to incubate their eggs for a dozen Koboh moon cycles, and each member defended the clutch from any threat as if their own.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
