"Raylen's my speed. I love hunting animals."
"Ah, Raylen. He doesn't like space much. Just returned from Endor...mentioned some small furry creatures."
―A spacer and Inaldra's Lieutenant[1]

Raylen Finn was a male Human hunter who lived during the Galactic Civil War.

Biography[]

"One of the guards went to check a shipment of something that is supposed to be dangerous and hasn't returned. I'm worried about him."
―Raylen Finn, to a spacer[1]

Following the Battle of Yavin, Raylen Finn resided on Tansarii Point Station, a space station located above Ord Mantell, in the Bright Jewel system, and worked out of the ranged combat training room.[1] Although he did not like space much, he visited other worlds in the galaxy such as the Forest Moon of Endor for his hunts.[2]

Bocatts in Cargo Bay 1

In 1 ABY,[3] Finn was supervising the inspection of cargo shipped onboard Tansarii Point Station when one the station's guard went missing. The hunter thus hired a spacer to investigate the situation. The spacer headed to the lower level of the station and found the missing guard who was injured after being attacked. The man explained that the cargo in fact contained dangerous and hungry creatures that escaped their cages and attacked him. The spacer therefore moved to the shipping bay, killed a couple of creatures and harvested their hide. The spacer eventually delivered the hides to Raylen Finn who determined that the bests were bocatts, veracious creatures native to Tatooine. With this information, Finn was able to develop a strategy to get rid of these dangerous bests.[1]

  3. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
