A Rear Admiral was an officer of high rank in the naval forces of the Galactic Empire,[2] and that of the Galactic Republic. During the Clone Wars, Nils Tenant held this rank.[1] By the fifth year of Emperor Palpatine's reign, Kendal Ozzel, Tiaan Jerjerrod, and Conan Antonio Motti held that rank.[2] Orson Krennic desired to hold the rank of a Rear Admiral, however he was promoted from Lieutenant Commander to Commander instead.[4]
