The Rebel Alliance Badge of Valor was an Rebel Alliance badge awarded by Alliance Special Operations to individuals who were an "outstanding example of heroism and bravery."[1]
One such badge was awarded to a spacer who served Officer Wedge Antilles dutifully during the Remembrance Day festivities,[2] in 1 ABY.[3] The Rebel successfully rescued six Alliance pilots from a a Detainment Facility in the Imperial Fortress on Yavin 4.[4]
The Galactic Empire had a similar award named Imperial Badge of Meritorious Service.[5]

The Rebel Alliance Badge of Valor appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[6] The Rebel Alliance Badge of Valor was added to the game with the "Game Update 11," published on June 23, 2009, and could be obtained during the Empire Day events[1] in 2009,[7] 2010[8] and 2011.[9]
