Rebel Mission to Ord Mantell, subtitled A Story from The Star Wars Saga, was an audio drama scripted by Brian Daley, the author who wrote the scripts for the Star Wars radio plays. It was produced by Jymn Magon, engineered by George Charouhas, and released in 1983 by Buena Vista Records on both record album and cassette tape. The running time is approximately thirty minutes.
The story, set just before Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, concerns a mission to Ord Mantell, where Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa and their companions have a run-in with a bounty hunter.
This is meant to be the incident Han Solo mentions near the beginning of The Empire Strikes Back. Other stories, such as the West End Games game book Scoundrel's Luck, and the newspaper comic strips by Archie Goodwin and Al Williamson collected as The Bounty Hunter of Ord Mantell, have Solo running into different bounty hunters on Ord Mantell. According to Ord Mantell's entry in the Databank, Han Solo has a history of such encounters.

REBEL MISSION TO ORD MANTELL
Forced to set up a new base on the inhospitable ice world of Hoth, the Rebels must divert the Empire's attention from the move. Han Solo and Luke Skywalker are sent out as decoys against what they think is a lone Imperial Star Destroyer. Unfortunately, the Rebel attack analysts haven't given our heroes all the facts!
And without money, the Rebellion cannot continue its fight for freedom. Princess Leia and her Rebel team attempt a daring heist of Imperial funds—unaware of the treachery that awaits them.
