- ―K-2SO on Cassian Jeron Andor's A280-CFE
Reconfigurable blasters were a type of hybrid blaster, that could easy be repurposed. Most designs followed the same idea, in the case of the A280-CFE blaster, A180[1] and Relby k-25 blaster[2] which could be reduced to pistols in their smallest form(s). From there a barrel could be added on to the front of the gun, as well as a shoulder stock on its back. These two moves could effectively turn them from a close quarter combat weapon to a longer ranged rifle.
The DL-44 was popular heavy blaster pistol which a similar set of additions. An attachable stock could be added at the rear of the grip. When this was coupled with an extended barrel and a flash-suppressor located at the exit point for the blaster bolt, would make a pistol (-sized) carbine.[3] The A-300 blaster rifle was a reconfigurable blaster.[source?]
