The red apricot was the starship of red apricot squad, an elite squad of the Knights of Silver Dawn, a prominent civil mercenary group in the Aakaash system. Attended to by the squad's mechanic, Zhuang Yuanying, as well as a team of seven worker drones of the WB-35 mechanic droid model, the red apricot was shaped like a cone lying down on its side. Its elongated contour was protected by an armored hull composed of enigmatic iron and other metals, with the hull being disposable in a maneuver known to red apricot squad as "shell shedding."
When the squad was tasked to retrieve a lost Silver Dawn shipment of enigmatic tenebrae, the squad took the red apricot to Fire and later Lake 4399 in the Heaven system.

The red apricot appeared in The Vow of Silver Dawn, a Chinese web novel written by "His Majesty the King." The ship first appeared in a chapter released in January 4, 2021, and is named 红杏号 in the original simplified Chinese text.
