Redsprouts were a type of food that could be eaten by members of the human species.[1] In 4 BBY,[2] the Spanjaf family ate a meal including redsprouts in their home on the planet Lothal. During the meal, Gandr and Jessa Spanjaf spoke with their daughter Merei about her dropping grades at the Vocational School for Institutional Security while she served herself a second portion of redsprouts using tongs.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Redsprout first appeared in Servants of the Empire: Imperial Justice, which was written by Jason Fry as the third entry in the Servants of the Empire series of canon junior novels and released in 2015.[1]

Notes and referencesEdit

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 Servants of the Empire: Imperial Justice
  2. The events of Servants of the Empire: Imperial Justice occur at the same time as the Star Wars Rebels episode "Vision of Hope," as both depict the same meeting between Zare Leonis and Ezra Bridger. "Vision of Hope" takes place chronologically after the Star Wars Rebels episode "Empire Day" and before Star Wars Rebels: The Siege of Lothal. Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates both "Empire Day" and The Siege of Lothal to 4 BBY, so the events of Imperial Justice must also take place in that year.
