Rei was a Nagai guard assigned to the Dark Lady Lumiya's base alongside Mendo and Taru on Kinooine, during the early days of the Nagai invasion of the galaxy. While on guard duty in 4 ABY, Alliance of Free Planets infiltrator Kiro killed Mendo while attempting to rescue a captive Luke Skywalker. Rei and Taru searched for their missing comrade, but were themselves surprised and slain.^[1]
