"Do not see a lightsaber duel as a choice between winning and losing. Every duel can have many, many outcomes. When you concentrate solely on winning—in lightsaber duels as in everything else—you sully your victory. Winning becomes worse than losing. It is better to lose well than to win badly. And it is always better to end a duel peacefully than to win or lose."
―Repka De[2]

Rekpa De was a male Jedi Master who served the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic during the height of the Republic Classic era.

Biography[]

A Force-sensitive, Repka De was instructed in the ways of the Force by the Jedi Order, eventually attaining the rank of Jedi Master. Trained as a Guardian, Master De was well-trained in the art of lightsaber combat; so much so that he was selected by the acting battlemaster to gain the title of lightsaber instructor at the Coruscant Jedi Temple. After the Jedi High Council approved the appointment, Master De began teaching basic lightsaber techniques at the Temple to the many Initiates that passed through the Temple academy. Master De, an instructor while the famed Jedi Yoda was still a Knight himself, was often quoted in regards to his views on winning and losing.[2]
