Rendili was an ancient, conservative planet located in the galaxy's Core Worlds. Arch-Provost was a governing position on the planet.

Description[]

Rendili was an ancient planet[2] located in the galaxy's Core Worlds, positioned at the coordinates M-11[1] on the Standard Galactic Grid.[3] The planet shared its name with the shipbuilding corporation Rendili StarDrive, as well as the company's predecessor, Rendili Hyperworks.[4]

History[]

After the First Battle of Geonosis, during which the Acclamator-class assault ships were introduced, the Arch-Provost ordered industrial spies and starship designers to reduce Kuat's lead for new contracts handed out by the Galactic Republic. The planet's extensive system of smaller shipyards scattered across the Mid Rim and Outer Rim Territories gave Rendili a temporary ascendancy.[5] During the Imperial Era, Rendili supported the Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine.[2]

In 5 ABY,[6] the New Republic General Hera Syndulla noted the corvettes that were manufactured on Rendili and Corellia while the fleet assembled near the planet Jakku. These ships participated in the Battle of Jakku,[7] which marked the end the Galactic Civil War with the subsequent signing of the Galactic Concordance.[8] After the signing of the Galactic Concordance, which conditionally allowed the remnants of the Empire to peacefully co-exist with the New Republic, Rendili came under control of the Inner systems' Imperial remnant.[2]

Inhabitants[]

Arch-Provost was a governing position on the planet.[5]

  6. The events of Victory's Price begin after the Cerberon system campaign, and the novel also features the Battle of Jakku at the end of its three main sections. Since Star Wars: Timelines dates both of those conflicts to 5 ABY, the main events of Victory's Price must therefore be set in that year.
