The Renillis system was located in the Trailing Sectors portion of the Inner Rim. The system lay on the Corellian Trade Spine super-hyperroute, which linked it to the Mechis and Yag'Dhul systems.
At some point by 4 BBY, the Imperial Military officer Miletta Sabrin was appointed the Prefect of the Renillis system. Subsequently, she was promoted to the important post of Governor. For more than four years before the destruction of the Core Worlds planet Alderaan in 0 BBY, Sabrin governed the system with no incident, maintaining peace via firm rule.
Following the death of the Galactic Emperor Palpatine at the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, however, Sabrin became disillusioned with the Empire and, commandeering a small frigate, she and a group of her supporters left Imperial space for the Outer Rim Territories' Samix sector.
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The Renillis system was first mentioned in the 1994 sourcebook Galaxy Guide 11: Criminal Organizations, authored by Rick D. Stuart for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the system in grid square L-14.
